A Parametric Harmonic+noise Model
نویسنده
چکیده
We present and evaluate here an Harmonic + Noise Model (HNM) for speech synthesis. The noise part is represented by an autoregressive model whose output is pitch-synchronously modulated in energy. The harmonic part of the signal is represented by a sum of harmonic sinusoids. This paper compares different methods for separating these two components. We then evaluate different models for the analysis/synthesis of each component.

Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations in second-harmonic generation
A quantum model for singly resonant second-harmonic generation in a cavity with transverse degrees of freedom is analyzed. An instability threshold for pattern formation exists in this system. Below threshold, a strong modulation of the noise is demonstrated in the transverse structure of the far field. The performed analysis encompasses both oneand two-point correlation functions. The noise in...
متن کاملRobust HNR-Based Closed-Loop Pitch and Harmonic Parameters Estimation
An important problem in speech coding framework is model parameters estimation. In most cases parametric speech coding methods do not preserve shape of speech waveform. This fact implies straightforward parameters estimation and analysisby-synthesis method is hardly used. A novel analysis-by-synthesis parameters estimation method in speech coders based on harmonic models presented. We introduce...
متن کاملParameter Estimation and Tracking for Time-varying Sinusoids
Parametric modeling permits an efficient representation of audio signals and is increasingly utilized for very low bit rate coding applications. Such systems are based on a decomposition of the audio signal into components that are described by appropriate source models and represented by model parameters. Commonly used components types are sinusoidal trajectories, harmonic tones, transients, a...
متن کاملApplying the harmonic plus noise model in concatenative speech synthesis
This paper describes the application of the harmonic plus noise model (HNM) for concatenative text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis. In the context of HNM, speech signals are represented as a time-varying harmonic component plus a modulated noise component. The decomposition of a speech signal into these two components allows for more natural-sounding modifications of the signal (e.g., by using differ...
